Segment Gate

The segment gate consists of a curved skin plane formed to a cylinder segment, supported by radial compressed arms which transfer hydraulic forces to fixed bearings. Thanks to its great simplicity, long operating life and low maintenance cost these gates are commonly used on water intakes. They can also be designed with small flap gate on top for fine lake level adjustment.
